Helena kookt over is a take-away and catering kitchen in the Boomgaardstraat in Antwerp, run by Helena Libert. She cooks with the seasons and posts the menu board of the day on Instagram.
The new website brings her shop front online: the window shows today's menu, straight from her Instagram, and the sign on the door follows her opening hours.

Challenge
The old website was a single page with one photo, the opening hours and the contact details. It had no secure connection, and there was no place for what changes every day: the menu.
That menu already had a home. Every day Helena posts her menu board on Instagram.

A shop front with a live menu
The homepage opens on an illustration of her real shop front, with the ivy, the window and the door.
In the window hangs a letterboard with today's menu. The site reads it from her newest Instagram post, so Helena doesn't have to do anything extra. When there is no menu post, the board shows her regulars: hummus, roasted vegetables, soup, cake and more.
The accent colours follow the food of the day.

Pick an occasion and fill in the details, and the site prepares an email to Helena.
Directions
A hand-drawn map shows the shop, a five-minute walk from Antwerpen-Berchem station. It loads nothing from Google, so no cookie banner is needed.
Reviews
Words from her customers on Facebook, where 100% of 30 reviews recommend her.

Open or closed at a glance
The sign on the door and the bar at the top follow her opening hours, Monday to Friday from 15:30 to 19:30. During opening hours they count down to closing time; after closing they say when the shop opens again.
