Role
Brand, web design & digital growth
Gursha is an Ethiopian catering and private chef service, run by Helen.
When Helen moved from a restaurant to catering, her brand, communication and way of working all needed a fresh look. That meant a stronger online presence, a custom website and graphics for social media, flyers, announcements and menus.
The website works mainly as a lookbook: it gives people a feel for the food and the services, and makes them curious about Ethiopian culture.

01
Challenge
Gursha was at a turning point: going from a classic restaurant to private catering and chef services. Helen needed more than a website. She needed a way to show the care and quality behind her cooking, and to make the new way of working run smoothly. The big question was how to bring the experience of an Ethiopian meal (the flavours, the sharing, the hospitality) to a screen, in a way that makes people want to book.
Together, that became a new visual identity and a website that works like a digital lookbook. The collaboration continues today, with ongoing design for banners, flyers, flags, announcements and social media.

02
Approach
Starting from the culture
It started with getting to know what makes Gursha special: hospitality and sharing Ethiopian culture. For a catering business, a website shouldn't be just a menu. It should make you hungry and curious. Together with Helen, the whole journey was mapped out, from someone's first visit to the booking, with the food itself as the star of the brand.

03
Solution
One brand, online and offline
The result is one consistent brand that works everywhere Gursha shows up:
- Visual identity:A refreshed brand that honours Ethiopian heritage and feels at home at both intimate dinners and large events.
- Website:A responsive lookbook website with plenty of room for good photography and easy navigation between private dining and events.
- Communication:A library of social media posts, digital flyers and announcements, so every message looks and sounds like Gursha.
- Menus & brochures:Clear digital menus and service brochures that make it easy to go from a first question to a booking.

04
Results
Growing step by step
- A smooth switch:The move from restaurant to catering went smoothly, towards a fully booked catering service.
- A stronger image:The new identity presents Gursha as a special cultural experience, which supports its premium pricing.
- Less explaining:Because the website tells the story, Helen spends much less time explaining her services to new clients.
