  • Role

    Marketplace website, branding & onboarding

Ferme Mama's is a neighbourhood marketplace where local moms sell what they cook and make at home. Together with the founder, a community idea grew into a working platform, from the brand to the way sellers sign up and get paid.

Challenge

Ferme Mama’s wanted to connect local cooking talent with people in the neighbourhood.

Founder Su Meya was looking for more than a website: a place where moms could start selling what they make, without the paperwork that comes with running a business.

That meant a safe, easy-to-use marketplace with a clear sign-up path (including the FAVV food safety certification), and payments that run through the non-profit organisation (vzw).

Approach

The goal was to make joining as easy as possible, also for people who aren't comfortable with technology. The project started with a warm, trustworthy identity, followed by a solid technical base. Because both the moms and their customers mostly use their phones, everything was designed for mobile first.

Solution

  • Marketplace:Built with WordPress, WooCommerce and Dokan, and adapted so every seller can manage their own shop.
  • Easy sign-up:A guided registration that takes new sellers step by step through the required FAVV food safety course, before their shop goes live.
  • Brand:The original logo grew into a full brand: warm colours, typography that feels homemade yet professional, and a consistent look across the whole platform.
  • Simple payments:The vzw handles the sales, so sellers get paid for their work without having to register as self-employed.
