European Plastic Films (EuPF) was founded in 2025 within the European Plastics Converters (EuPC). It brings Europe's plastic film manufacturers together around sustainability, innovation and a circular economy.

As a brand new sector group, EuPF needed a look and an online home that matched its ambitions. Together with the team, a first concept logo grew into a full visual identity, a website and a set of documents to represent the industry in Brussels and beyond.

Challenge

When Thomas (EuPC) set up European Plastic Films, the group had a clear mission but no identity or website yet to share it. It needed to be taken seriously by its members, by policymakers in the EU and by the general public, all at the same time.

Approach

The starting point was a dated concept logo and a lot of knowledge about a complex industry. The work focused on three things:

  • What was already there:Looking closely at the existing material, to understand the mission of parent organisation EuPC and give EuPF its own place next to it.
  • Who it is for:Three audiences to speak to: the members, legislators in the EU, and the general public.
  • Shaping it together:Regular feedback rounds with the board, so every choice, from typography to the structure of the website, felt credible, open and forward-looking.

Solution

The result is a brand and a set of tools the organisation can keep building on:

  • Visual identity:A refreshed logo and visual language, carried through to presentation templates and official letterheads, so every document clearly comes from the same organisation.
  • Website:Built from scratch as one central place for news, background information and members.
  • Explaining the industry:Pages that explain European regulations and why plastic film matters, in plain language for a broad audience.
  • Staying in touch:A blog for policy updates and a simple link page for social media.
  • Members:A directory that puts the members in the spotlight and shows the strength of the sector.

A big part of the project was making a complex industry easy to understand. The main presentation was redesigned to explain technical data clearly to policymakers (shown here: the original next to the new version).

Presentation design

Making regulation easy to follow

The plastic film industry deals with many layers of European rules. To make conversations with policymakers easier, the main presentation was redesigned from the ground up.

  • The approach:Complex legislation translated into clear visuals and short, data-backed stories, in the new house style, so every slide feels consistent and trustworthy.
  • Visual metaphors:A complicated supply chain shown as a simple, recognisable flow.
  • Clear hierarchy:Each slide leads the eye to the most important number first.

Results

EuPF launched with a complete, professional presence that speaks to experts and the general public alike. The new brand and website help the group to:

  • Speak with one voice:EuPF is now recognisable as the voice of plastic film innovation in Europe.
  • Keep everything in one place:Information that used to be scattered now lives on one easy-to-use website.
  • Look the part:From official documents to meetings with legislators, the organisation presents itself consistently and professionally.
